Basil Olive Oil

This award-winning Basil Oil is made by crushing fresh Basil and mission olives together at the olive mill, and the result is a pesto style showstopper! It has a wonderful Basil aroma and the palate experiences a persistent fruity Basil flavor with a gentle hint of pepper on the finish. It pairs well with meat and vegetarian pastas, Greek salads, cold or warm tomato soup, Tuscan beans, crusty fresh baked bread, and many more incredible combinations. In 2007, the year Stella Cadente’s Basil Oil was introduced, it was awarded a Bronze Medal at the Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition and a Gold Medal at the Yolo County Fair Olive Oil Competition. Please note that this is a “crushed” oil and is not “infused”. Most of the Basil Oils on the market are “infused” and the taste profile is completely different and far less attractive to the taste buds. Stella Cadente follows in the tradition of crushed citrus oils to insure that this is yet another award-winning product made in a style consistent with old fashioned methods.
