Bilardo Brothers is made in Kansas City, which locals will tell you is the "barbeque capital of the world". The sauce is a Kansas City classic; naturally thick & tomato-based with a tangy, zesty flavor that goes well with just about anything you love barbequing; chicken, pork, fish or vegetables! They know ribs in Kansas City & when they want good barbeque they usually start by spicing a rack with a dry rub. Next, they slow roast those ribs over heat flavored with hickory wood. Then those ribs get slathered all over with smooth & rich Kansas City style sauce. Traditional Carolina barbeque sauce mixes peppers in vinegar. Traditional Texas sauce adds more hot peppers & vinegar. Kansas City took the best of both worlds, putting in Midwest tomatoes & coming up with a sauce so thick it won't slide off during cooking. On the heat scale, Bilardo Brothers Original Barbeque Sauce is designated as Mild, with 0-1,500 Scoville units. The natural ingredients include tomato paste, water, cider vinegar, white vinegar, high fructose corn syrup, prepared mustard, grade A honey, brown sugar, spices, worcestershire sauce, salt, hickory smoke, & garlic powder. Legend has it that miles from any shipping lanes there is a tropical island known to very few.  It was an isle of plenty where people lived simple, happy lives.  A special grower named Juan lived there.  Juan's love was his peppers.
