Information Collection and Use
American Feast, LLC is the owner and operator of the American Feast web site and the sole owner of the information collected on this site. The company will not share, sell, or rent this information to others in ways not disclosed in this statement. American Feast collects information from visitors at several places on the web site. Information is collected when a visitor places an order, becomes a member, enters a contest, participates in a survey, and contacts us for customer service.
Place an Order
American Feast requests information from a visitor in the checkout area when that visitor places an order for merchandise sold through the web site. During checkout the visitor must provide a valid credit card number and shipping address information. American Feast then seeks an approval of the visitor’s credit card. After the checkout process is complete, American Feast forwards only necessary information to the producers of the items that have been ordered. The information forwarded to the producer includes the item(s) to be shipped, the means of shipping, the address to which the items are to be shipped, and any special messages you send to American Feast regarding a specific order.
American Feast does not provide the producer of the item with the customer’s credit card information. Customer credit card information remains secure with American Feast. We do not share the customer’s email address with the producer. When a customer has a question about an order they can contact American Feast and we will be responsible for giving that customer a satisfactory reply. The necessary information to get merchandise to the customer is securely forwarded to the producer who will use it to fulfill the order. We do not forward any other personal information to the producer. American Feast cannot always prevent a producer from sending information to the shipping address provided for a specific order. We will make a good faith effort to see that a customer’s request that no additional information be sent is honored by the producers whose products are offered on the American Feast web site.
Become a Member
Visitors to the American Feast web site are offered the opportunity to become members. To become a member a visitor must provide contact information including name, street address, email address, etc. Your membership information becomes part of your personal account and can expedite future transactions by such means as storing billing and shipping addresses.
When providing membership information visitors are given the option of receiving information such as emailed newsletters and special product offers from American Feast. Selecting to receive information and offers from American Feast indicates that a member would like to occasionally receive email messages and special offers that our company believes will be welcome.
The personal information visitors provide to become members and during checkout are stored in a personal account area. Members can add or change information by entering the email address used to become a member and the password created at that time. Members also have the ability to add new billing or shipping information when placing an order. A member also has the option to opt out from receiving information such as emailed newsletters and special product offers from American Feast.
Enter a Contest
In order to take part in American Feast’s contests we require visitors to provide us with information. Taking part in a contest is voluntary and visitors can decide whether or not to provide the requested information. Visitors have the option not to have the information they provide distributed to third parties that are not specifically involved with the promotion. The information requested includes contact information such as name and address, and demographic information such as age and sex. Contact information is used to notify the winners and award prizes. A third party may manage contests and this third party is not allowed to use the information provided to American Feast for any purpose other than to manage the contest. Prizes may be provided directly from American Feast, or they may come from a specified third party sponsoring the contest. In this case, the prize will be awarded by the third party and the information provided by contest participants will be shared with the third party.

On occasion American Feast will undertake a survey in search of ways to better serve our customers. Survey participation is voluntary; visitors decide whether or not to provide us with the information we are seeking. The information requested may include contact information such as name and address, and demographic information such as age and sex.
